“Nothing new under the sun…” – Ecclesiastes 1:9

No matter what part of the journey of life you are going through whether it is a time of rest, struggle, indecision, pain, joy, drought, healing or maybe something else.  It is comforting to remember someone else may have been through something similar to you.

C.S. Lewis once said; “Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: “What! You too? I thought I was the only one.”

We never need to be alone in life and we often have more in common with one another than differences.

My family and I have been extremely busy as we minister here in the Outback of Queensland, Australia. The draught has taken it’s toll on the land, live stock and precious families who live out here. Many properties have had to destock all together. Some folk have had to walk off their properties still in debt. Since we have been out here we have had a very tiny amount of rain at home (a few hours of drizzle) and we haven’t seen a good soaking at all. In saying that; God has everything in control and “there is nothing new under the sun.” Even under the blistering sun in Queensland.

I would love to blog more, unfortunately I am time poor at the moment. The families out here have needed our time and so this teeny blog has had to go on the back burner. I just haven’t got extra time up my sleeves.

I made this little pic on my iPad. I hope you like it 😀

Hope you have a blessed and happy day!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year

Wow… time sure fly’s and another year is done and dusted. I know I have been MIA and this coming year is going to be just as busy if not busier. I trust you had a blessed Christmas and I hope this new 2015 will be blessed and all that you wish it will be for you and your family.

Here is a link to DAB; free Daily Audio Bible reading from Brian Hardin. My hubby and my son also listen to DAB every day. It is truly amazing reading the whole Bible through every year. I have done this since 2010 and I can’t ever think of not doing it. It takes me from 20 minutes to occasionally 30 minutes each day to listen to Brian read the Bible. He reads from the New Testament, the Old Testament, Psalms and Proverbs daily. You may like to join us too!

Redeemed

I am redeemed

I love this song. What a fantastic reminder… that we are not who we use to be” we are always changing and “we are redeemed and “set free”. We do not need to be burdened by our past or our past mistakes or sins. The only one who wants to remind you and I of forgiven, forgotten sin, and mistakes, are people who are not wanting the best life for you and I. God isn’t done with us yet. Let’s not be hard on ourselves or other people. We are all a work in progress!

“Redeemed”

Seems like all I could see was the struggle
Haunted by ghosts that lived in my past
Bound up in shackles of all my failures
Wondering how long is this gonna last
Then You look at this prisoner and say to me “son
Stop fighting a fight it’s already been won”I am redeemed, You set me free
So I’ll shake off these heavy chains
Wipe away every stain, now I’m not who I used to be
I am redeemed, I’m redeemedAll my life I have been called unworthy
Named by the voice of my shame and regret
But when I hear You whisper, “Child lift up your head”
I remember, oh God, You’re not done with me yetI am redeemed, You set me free
So I’ll shake off these heavy chains
Wipe away every stain, now I’m not who I used to beBecause I don’t have to be the old man inside of me
‘Cause his day is long dead and gone
Because I’ve got a new name, a new life, I’m not the same
And a hope that will carry me homeI am redeemed, You set me free
So I’ll shake off these heavy chains
Wipe away every stain, ’cause I’m not who I used to beI am redeemed, You set me free
So I’ll shake off these heavy chains
Wipe away every stain, yeah, I’m not who I used to be
Oh, God, I’m not who I used to be
Jesus, I’m not who I used to be
‘Cause I am redeemed
Thank God, redeemed

I made this earlier. I hope you like it! Have an awesome week.
~ Blessings, Sarah

It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail.
They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Yahweh is my portion, says my soul;
therefore will I hope in him.
