What a weekend we have had! I hope you have had a wonderful weekend too?

A friend died recently. It was difficult time but also his passing was a blessing. He had suffered with physical pain for a while and so I am thankful his pain is over. He was a wonderful Godly man and touched the hearts of the young and old a like. He will be missed but just for a while until we meet him again in eternity. Death for a Christian is a new beginning of eternal life not an end into nothingness. The impact this one Godly, husband, father and friend was incalculable. What was also wonderful was the grace he showed even through enduring pain of his illness. He was still doing God’s will and continuing in God’s work and was a blessing to many until a few days before he passed over to eternity.

After the service we were able to go out for lunch and also spend time with some friends we hadn’t seen for a while. We had a lovely time. Every blessing takes on a new meaning after the passing of a friend. The blessing of time with Godly friends is something to be treasured and to be thankful for. The passing of a Godly man has me thinking what more can I do for my Saviour and for the Kingdom?

  1. Losing a friend to death is never easy. But losing a Godly friend has hope! Enjoy your memories and, as you say, use this experience to draw you closer to God and your service for Him. God’s blessings on you and your ministry.

    • Thank you for your kind words Alva Lee. Hope you have a lovely week. It is getting hot in Australia so you guys will be cooling down. I miss fall in the US, it is just a beautiful time of year.
